Well this has been a BUSY week! On Friday, Sophia's Tio Diego, Camilo's brother, flew in from visiting their sister in NY for the weekend. Daddy and Sophie got to spend a lot of time playing and visiting with Diego while Mommy went to Greenville to the Lady Antebellum concert with Sherrie. (Yay for Mommy time!) They visited Sand Hills shopping center and rode the train, walked around the shops, got a special toy at World Market, and took Sophie for her first Marble Slab visit, where I hear she insisted on sprinkles and pink raspberry ice cream. My girl is not big on sweets, (must be her daddy's influence,) so I wasn't surprised to hear she didn't finish it. They had such a fun time, and then when I came home Sunday morning, we got to spend the day all together! Diego and Daddy had the great idea to take Sophia to her first movie at the theater, so we decided to see the new Disney movie (of course!) and went to "Brave." Of course Soph got to have popcorn and a Coke (a real treat!) to make it official, and she sat through the whole movie with the exception of one quick potty break - Yay Sophie! Then, we took Diego to get some real southern cookin' at Cracker Barrel, and spent Sunday evening visiting and playing with dinosaurs and puzzles.
Monday morning, as soon as Sophie and I got up and at 'em, we loaded up the car and drove to Myrtle Beach for a few days! My friend Melanie invited us to her condo, and of course we obliged! We had such a fun time swimming in the pools and walking on the beach, and Sophie was so surprised when Aunt Sherrie showed up too! The last 4 days we have nicknamed "diva training" because Melanie's mother-in-law, Belinda, spoiled Sophia with a bag full of goodies to play with and taught her how to look, act, and talk like a little lady. Between Belinda's gracious invitations to the club and condo pools, complete with open bar tabs for Mommy, frozen virgin drinks for Sophie, and devine lunches, and Melanie's amazing dinners and beautifully decorated condo, we were totally spoiled for the last few days! We even squeezed in a trip to the aquarium, which just so happened to have a dinosaur exhibit?! Sophie was in heaven. She was "a little nervous" about the animatronic dinosaurs, but when they "ROAR"ed, she "roar"ed back even louder and giggled. My sweet girl is just so amazing and everyone who meets her falls in love with her. Can you blame them?
Well Mommy and Daddy are off to Ohio for a wedding this weekend, and Sophia gets to spend the whole weekend with G.G. and Big Mack. I'm sure there will be many stories when we return. See ya real soon! ☼
